The B.U.S Hair and Beauty Salon, located in Wuhan, China, spans approximately 220 square meters. The design uses the main colors of the brand's visual identity to divide spaces, creating a dynamic color collision. The abstract elements of a bus are incorporated into the design, creating eye-catching visual effects and interactive spaces. These spaces not only attract customers who pursue innovative things but also provide an immersive experience that helps guests understand the brand's meaning.
The salon offers a one-stop solution for young people looking for haircuts, modeling, and makeup. Upon entering the salon, customers receive a "ticket key." After their session, they can take photos to upload to the Cloud and receive the photo when paying. This process enhances the user experience of "taking the bus," making the consumption action more interesting.
The design of the B.U.S Hair and Beauty Salon was realized using various materials such as prefabricated terrazzo panel, colored terrazzo panel, cement tile, mirrored stainless steel, brushed stainless steel, fluorocarbon paint metal tube, HDPE modeling chair, and convex mirror prop. The design project started in March 2019 and was completed in December 2019.
The design faced several challenges, including creating a comfortable way to show the DNA of B.U.S by utilizing and developing bus elements in a commercial space with beauty fatigue. The designers also had to select materials within limited types to express the design concept. Despite these challenges, the design was successful and has been recognized with a Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020.
The B.U.S Hair and Beauty Salon is more than just a salon; it's a birthplace of fashionable life. It's a place where guests can discuss the magic and secret of being beautiful, from hairstyle, makeup to life. With its innovative design and unique customer experience, the B.U.S Hair and Beauty Salon is truly a revolution in the salon industry.
